Symbols can be found not only on geographical maps, but also in everyday life. For example, emojis in messages, road signs along highways, or sign boards in shops can also be classified as signs.
Nowadays, a person may need conventional signs more often for familiar places than a sign for a swamp or a spring.Think of how you can show these places on the map.
In your notebook draw the symbols for the following places:
- beauty salons or barber shops;
- shopping centers;
- car parks;
- bike and scooter rental points;
- ATMs;
- water parks;
- flower shops;
- cafes and restaurants;
- dog walking areas;
- amusement park.
Make a plan of the area of your neighborhood (or a fictional town), using modern map signs invented by yourself. Try to represent as many signs on this plan as possible.
