Present Simple vs Present Continuous
Present Simple — простое настоящее время, которое используется для описания привычек, повседневных или постоянных действий, расписаний, общеизвестных фактов или законов природы.

Example: I usually leave home at 9:30 a.m.

Earth moves around the Sun.

Указатели времени, употребляемые с Present Simple: every day/week/month/year, usually, sometimes, always, never, at noon, at night, in the morning/afternoon/evening, every morning/afternoon/evening.

Present Continuous — настоящее продолженное время, которое употребляется для описания действий, происходящих в момент речи, в настоящий период времени, а также запланированных действий в будущем.

Example: She is looking for a new job.

Look outside! The wind is blowing heavily, and it's really cold.

We are going to Italy in July.

Указатели времени, употребляемые с Present Continuous: now, at the moment, these days, tonight, nowadays, today, at present.

Но! Некоторые глаголы состояния (believe, want, hate, love, like, need, think, understand, etc.) не имеют формы Present Continuous.
