Quantifiers
Квантификаторами называют слова, которые указывают на какое-то количество живых существ или вещей. Они бывают разными для исчисляемых (little, much, a great deal of) и неисчисляемых (many, a few, a couple of, a large number of) существительных. Есть и те, что могут употребляться с двумя видами существительных (a lot of, plenty of, some, any).
Квантификатор few, как правило, используется с артиклем a: a few students в значении «несколько». Но если мы используем его без артикля, мы хотим показать, что кого-то/чего-то было слишком мало.
