Indefinite pronouns
Note!
We use a singular verb after an indefinite pronoun.
e.g. Everybody is at the cinema.
When we refer back to an indefinite pronoun we normally use a plural pronoun.
e.g. Everybody is at the cinema. They are watching a new film.
Don't use another negative word in a sentence with nobody, no one or nothing.
e.g. Nobody is at home. ( \(\sout{\text{Nobody isn't at home.}}\) )
I'd like to go [ ] hot for a holiday this year: Malta or Spain.
I can hear steps on the second floor. I think there is [ ] else in the house.
Could you clean up the table? There is [ ] to put the bags.
