Informal style
We use the informal style to write greetings card messages.

Elements of the informal style:

• Informal short openings: Hi, Jack! / Hey, Lola!
• Informal short endings: Bye / All the best / Kisses.
• Only a person's first name to sign the card: Tom/Mary.
• Abbreviations and short forms: I'm happy…
• Idioms and informal phrasal verbs: I've found out Nick is coming back this week...
• Informal language: How's it going?
• Informal linkers: I wish I could come to your party, but...
