Hi!
I am a part-time worker, and my [employer|employee|employ] has been really awful to the workers like me (most of them are women with children). Now we are working with a new call centre system. We [work|works|worked] in shifts, and the working process is organised poorly.
Our calls are all recorded, listened into [in|of|by] mystery [shoppers|shopping|shop], silently monitored by managers, and timed down to the second. We are not allowed to leave the workplace outside of lunch breaks (which last exactly one hour — not a minute more or less) and our personal breaks (which last exactly 15 minutes). These conditions make the part-time workers stressed and [depressed|depress|depressing], even though we are all responsible adults with degrees and years of experience.
What's going on? I guess our managers get bonus payments when we "achieve our productivity quotas", and that's why they control us like this. Am I right?
Thank you!
