A. Naturally, all Russians eat Russian food in one way or another. Pancakes, dumplings, soups, cereals, bread and vegetables form the basis of the average Russian's diet. Most often, such food is prepared at home on a daily basis.
B. On holidays, Russians prepare traditionally festive dishes: salads, snacks, main courses and desserts. Dishes from these categories are preferred during the holidays because they are time consuming and their ingredients can often be expensive.
C. Another distinctive feature of the festive menu of Russians is that on holidays many people prefer to go to cafes and restaurants with foreign cuisine. Favourites among Russians are Georgian, Italian, Chinese and Japanese cuisine. In all large and medium-sized cities, there is at least one of these establishments.
D. If access to cafes or restaurants is impossible for one reason or another, the Russians turn to food delivery services. And they order all the same foreign cuisines, apparently because they can eat Russian cuisine at home.
E. It is also worth mentioning about delivery that the demand for it has increased dramatically since cooking takes too long. By eliminating this activity from the daily to-do list, people have more time for other things or for rest.
