Today we will tell you about the ways to create images and to make your piece of writing more colourful and interesting:

  • a simile is a way of comparing two things with the help of the words such as, as... as, like:
    She was as hungry as a wolf;
  • a metaphor compares objects that don't seem similar but have one common feature:
    He has a heart of gold;
  • personification gives an object some human character traits or qualities:
    The leaves were dancing in the wind.
