Comment on the data in the table and give your personal opinion on the subject of the project.
| Issues | Number of teenagers in Russia(%) | Number of teenagers in the UK(%) |
| New Year | 46 | 44 |
| Halloween | 14 | 28 |
| St. Valentine's Day | 6 | 13 |
| Christmas | 10 | 8 |
| 8, March | 24 | 7 |
Write 200–250 words.
Use the following plan:
- make an opening statement on the subject of the project;
- select and report 2–3 main facts;
- make 1–2 comparisons where relevant;
- outline a problem that can arise with teenagers' attitude towards traditions of other countries and suggest a way of solving it;
- draw a conclusion giving your personal opinion on the reasons for the popularity/unpopularity of holidays.
Now fill in the gaps.
Holidays are an important part of our life. This is the time that we spend with family, friends and have a good time. [As|While|During]working on my project about the most popular ways of spending time with family among teenagers, I [have|have been|am]collected the results of the opinion polls [for|to|on]the subject. The data of the poll are [gifted|conceived|presented]in the form of a table. I ['m going|am going|going]to outline the main features the table reflects and [divide|compare|confront]the data.
The table shows that teenagers in Russia and Britain have different preferences regarding holidays, but there are also similar points. Thus, New Year is the most popular holiday [between|with|over]young people (46 % in Russia and 44 % in Britain). In second place in popularity in Russia is Women's Day (24 %), and in Britain, Halloween (28 %). According [to|of|in]the most unpopular holidays were Valentine's Day in Russia (7 %) and March 8 in Britain (6 %).
The [data|datum|gifts]obtained showed that teenagers express sympathy for those holidays that are typical, folk for their country. This happens most often because we are used to celebrating certain dates with our parents. We are taught traditions from childhood. Holidays that came to us from other countries for a very long time and slowly [make|take|get]root among the people.
[In|On|For]conclusion, I would like to say that it is necessary to educate tolerant people, comprehensively developed. Traditions of other nations and their holidays will help us with this. [In|At|On]my opinion, In my opinion, the holidays of our country are no less important than the holidays of other nations.

Imagine that you are doing a project on popular types of tourism among teenagers in Zetland. You have found some data on the subject—the results of the opinion polls (see the diagram below).
Comment on the data in the diagram and give your personal opinion on the subject of the project.
Write 200–250 words.
Use the following plan:
- make an opening statement on the subject of the project;
- select and report 2–3 main facts;
- make 1–2 comparisons where relevant;
- outline a problem that can arise with the increased interest in outbound tourism and suggest a way of solving it;
- draw a conclusion giving your personal opinion on the reasons for the popularity/unpopularity of types of tourism.
Now fill in the gaps.
Nowadays, it has become fashionable to relax in warm countries, in extreme resorts, in unusual places. Many different factors contribute to this. So, I [have|have been|am]collected the results of the opinion polls [for|to|on]the subject. The data of the poll are [gifted|performed|presented]in the form of a diagram. I ['m going|am going|going]to outline the main features the diagram reflects and [divide|compare|confront]the data.
As the diagram [presents|shows|points], the majority of respondents prefer to travel abroad. The overwhelming majority of such people is 59%. In second place according to the survey is travel to the home country. Only 24% of respondents chose this type of [retirement|relaxation|recreation]. And the most unpopular vacation spot is hometown. Let's think about why this is happening.
It is obvious that the type of health tourism is not very popular among young people. Youth is the time when people have a strong constitution. But the [relation|attitude|affairs]towards outbound tourism has an advantage based on the interests of the young people. I believe that people do not want to spend their vacation in their hometown because they want to change their environment. That is why this [answer|question|order]became the most unpopular. Another thing is more interesting: why do people like holidays abroad more? [On|Of|In]my opinion, there are several reasons for this. Firstly, people [had been|have been|has been]always interested to see how other countries live. Secondly, people often pay tribute to fashion. And thirdly, our respondents are teenagers who most often spend their holidays with their parents. For parents who have already seen a lot, it is more interesting to learn something new than to visit places in which they have [already|almost|just]been before.
This is how the problem arises that many adolescents do not know the geography and history of their [own|native|dear]country. I believe that for a better understanding of what is happening today and what happened before, the history of other countries, you need to know the history of your native country, home city. We need to increase the interest of young people in their hometowns and home countries.
