A. All of us are looking forward to the warm spring days. Snowdrops are the first delicate flowers that we can see instead of snowdrifts. Snowdrops bloom in forests, near the lakes, and gardens around the UK in February. These plants aren't so tall, just 15 cm long, but with lovely white flowers. It's easy to find them on the melted ground.
B. Many frogs and toads are ready to wake up and jump when spring has already arrived. The frogspawn typically appears first in the southwest of England. And then in March, the frogspawn can be found throughout the country.
C. The arrival of bees is marked by blossoming trees. Bees emerge from their winter nests as flowering plants and trees reappear, preparing for a new year of nectar production. Many other bugs also return with the arrival of spring. Look at colourful butterflies and scurrying beetles on the grass.
D. Over half of the world's population of bluebells exists in the UK, and they're out in abundance in the spring! As bluebell colonies take a long time to grow, they're mostly located in old woods. It's important not to touch them and to avoid crushing them because the flowers are too small.
E. In the animal world, spring is a busy time for parenting. A bird's nest is a true symbol of spring, but it can be difficult to observe them. Many birds carefully hide their nests to protect chicks from predators. If you manage to come across a bird's nest, don't get too close or near it; instead, watch it from a distance and listen for the sound of little chicks!
