Three teens are talking about their fears. Read the text and answer the questions below.
Janet
Until this year, I've been thinking that I had no fears at all. Everyone knows me as a cheerful person who can deal with any possible trouble. When my friends would tell me about their phobias of dogs or rats, I would laugh at them loudly. But this summer, everything changed. I was on vacation with my family in Ho Chi Minh City, and we decided to get to the top of a famous skyscraper Landmark 81, which is 461 meters tall. As soon as we went to the viewing platform, I suddenly felt really nervous. My legs turned to jelly and my heart was beating so fast! However I tried, I couldn't make myself look out from the window, and we finally had to come down. Since then, I sometimes have had nightmares where I fall from that platform. It's absolutely horrifying!

I'm the type of person who's constantly worried about something. I've got lots of big and small phobias. For instance, I'm afraid of big dogs (especially those who bark at you loudly outside), insects such as mosquitoes, cockroaches, and bees, and, of course, I always get really frightened by the dark! In fact, I can't stay in a room without a source of light. From early childhood, I've been sleeping with a nightlight. I also take a torch with me wherever I go in case I return home late. I tried to fight this fear, but every time I just got more and more scared.
Victoria
It's not so easy to terrify me! However, my sister is more sensitive. She's got a phobia which I find really weird. Actually, she's afraid of clowns! When we were kids and went to the circus, I would laugh happily when we saw a clown but she would start to scream at once! As we got older, nothing has changed. Whenever she sees a clown, she starts to shake like a leaf. She can't explain what's so scary about clowns, and we think it's something from her unconscious mind. She doesn't know how to fight this fear, but she tries not to let it come true. She simply avoids the places where you can meet a clown such as circuses and kids parties.
