My name is

Julia. I live in Moscow and I’m happy to have a lot of opportunities to enjoy

completely different seasons and weather.

The weather

in winter is cold, usually it snows a lot. But sometimes there are rains in

Moscow in wintertime. It's not good at all and it causes lots of difficulties. The

days are short and the nights are long. The rivers and lakes freeze and we can

go skating and skiing in Moscow parks.

Spring is a

very nice season. The weather is fine, it starts getting warm. There are a lot

of green trees in the streets in the parks and in the yards, usually in May. It

rains quite often in Moscow and you don't see much of  sunshine in March.

Summer in

Moscow is unpredictable. One year it might be hot, the other – cold and rainy.

The days are long and the nights are short. There are many nice flowers in the

parks and squares in the summer as well as in spring. Pupils do not go to

school, they have summer holidays. In June  we have the longest day and the

shortest night in the year on the 21st-22nd of June. July is a midsummer month.

It might be hot and the sun might shine brightly. The sky might be blue and

cloudless. August is the last summer month, sometimes

it is cold in August, sometimes not. But there are a lot of mushrooms, berries

and fruits in orchards and Moscow gardens.

The weather

in autumn is changeable. It often rains. You can see yellow, red, brown leaves

everywhere. It is the harvest time. September and October are my favorite

months of the year. The nature is full of all colors and it's not cold yet.
