The notion of "carbon footprint" has recently been brought up in many environmental discussions. Conservationists are deeply worried about the amount of CO₂ gases emitted into the atmosphere and are constantly asking the society to pay special attention to this problem and reduce the excess waste both domestically and commercially.

The term "carbon footprint" is defined as the amount of carbon produced by an organisation, event or individual directly or indirectly. Each person leaves his own footprint through the food he eats, the amount of water and electricity he uses and many more. For example, if you drive your car every day or heat your house, it generates certain amounts of gases into the Earth's atmosphere and pollutes the air.

As humankind has become accustomed to the need to do things more quickly and conveniently, it has contributed a lot to the increase in carbon footprints on an annual basis.
