  • When you listen, think of a word that sums up what the speaker is talking about.
  • Be careful to note if the statement is positive or negative.
  • Read the stems and the answer choices. Find the key words in each.
  • Read the title to get a general idea of what the text is about.
  • For Not stated questions, some information in the statement will be referred to in some way in the recording just to confuse you.
  • The question stems can often be a paraphrase of the interviewer’s question.
