1. Public displays of anger are considered extremely and are not tolerated by the Chinese people. They value group harmony highly, so foreigners should try to be patient, polite and not lose their temper.

2. Chinese people have first and last names like everyone else. However, in China, it's not "the done " to address people by their first names. If someone is presented to you as Wang Li, you can only call them Mr Wang (not Wang, Li or Mr Li).

3. In China, you won't find any serving spoons on the table, because everyone serves themselves food on their own. You should learn to eat with chopsticks skillfully because it is not to use them incorrectly or to ask for a fork and a knife.

4. The general rule is to bring many little gifts when you travel to China. You never know when you'll meet someone who wants to present you with a special souvenir, so you should arrive with your own as well (if only you don't want to show your bad manners).

5. Accepting offers and invitations immediately is thought to be a of greed and rudeness. No matter how much you want to eat or visit someone's house, you must refuse at least two or three times beforehand.
