Mother's Day is not a public holiday in the United Kingdom, but public transport services work according to their regular Sunday timetables. Many British invite their mothers to treat special meals at the cafés or restaurants on that day. They should book tables at the cafés or restaurants in advance on Mother's Day. In the United Kingdom, Mother's Day, also known as Mothering Sunday, is celebrated on the fourth Sunday of Lent which is exactly three weeks before Easter Sunday. It usually falls in the second half of March or the beginning of April.
