Ksenia loves history. It's her favourite subject at school. Her father is a history fan too. They visit the festival "Times and Epochs". There are many performances in Moscow streets and parks during the festival. They help people to learn about the past. People from all over the world come to the festival. Visitors can see how people lived, worked and what they cooked. Girls can watch old dances and listen to old music. Boys can see famous battles. Ksenia took a photo at the festival last year. There is an old train station in the photo. In Ksenia's photo, a girl is wearing a historical costume – a white blouse, a hat with beautiful trimming and a long skirt. She is drinking tea from an old cup. She is waiting for a train. When Ksenia looks at the photo, she remembers this day. She thinks that it is good to know the history of her country and her city. It is easier to understand the present when you know the past.
