Children in England attend secondary school between the ages of 11 and 16. They learn different subjects like English, Maths, Science and Art. School days can be the best days of a child's life. They learn interesting things, and they can make friends that last a lifetime. Students have up to eight lessons a day. They have a morning break for about 15 minutes and a one-hour lunch. Some students eat lunch in the school canteen, but many bring a packed lunch. Some students do after-school activities. They are members of their school's football or hockey team. Other students are in the school choir or play an instrument in the orchestra, and perform in musical events during the school year. There are other clubs that students can join, such as the art, drama, or computer club to give them a complete learning experience. Most schools in England have a school uniform. The uniform usually has the school colours. From the age of 14 to 16, all students study for their GCSEs. These are qualifications, which they can use to get job or go on the future studies.
