When Jim was a child, he used to love his father’s stories about India. He worked there in the 1990s before Jim was born. Jim used to sit next to his father and listen to his wonderful stories about African tribes and mysterious celebrations. Jim’s father told him about the beautifully coloured masks that Africans made of wood and showed old photos to his son. During those stories, Jim’s mind was travelling to the amazing continent. Dad and Jim never got bored of talking about local traditions, languages, dances and festivals. In fact, they sometimes got so excited that they went on talking for hours. Jim’s mum and his sister sometimes got rather tired of listening to them. Jim’s most valuable possession was a small wooden figure that his dad gave him when Jim turned eighteen. “I’ll go to Africa one day,” Jim told to himself.
