Any holiday is a happy event for me. I love holidays: New Year, Christmas, Easter, but my favourite one is my birthday. This is a very joyful day for me. Why?

Everyone greets you: mum and dad, brothers and sisters, grandparents and friends. Everyone tells you how you were born, what a wonderful and special day it was. I get a lot of gifts, listen to wishes and feel like the most important person in the house.

My birthday is in summer. It's the best time for a birthday for me. It is warm, the sun is shining, there is no need to hurry because I have summer holidays at school.

I have a birthday tradition. If I'm not going anywhere, I celebrate outside. We have a picnic, my mum cooks a tasty dinner, my friends bring cherries, strawberries, ice cream, cake, candies and juice. We always have great fun, listen to music, laugh, make jokes. Sometimes my dad organises funny events for us. It can be a board game, or a quiz, or a sports competition.

In the evening we tidy up and go for a walk. When I go to bed, I'm happy because I've become a year older! I'm waiting for more happy birthdays in my future life.
