Burning Man festival originated in San Francisco, California, in 1986. Now it is organized in Black Rock Desert, Nevada, the USA. It takes place annually at the end of summer. It is a mindset as well as a festival.

Festival-goers express themselves by creating artistic sculptures, buildings, performances and art cars for everybody to enjoy. Many participants wear unusual eccentric costumes to surprise the public.

The culmination of the event is the burning of a large wooden man of 105 feet in height.
