My mother often told me about her teenage years when her family got their very first television set. In those days, televisions were all black and white. She said she only watched it at night. She doesn't remember ever watching it in the morning or afternoon.
In my own childhood, which seems like a different era, we were fortunate to have access to three or four television channels. My brothers, sisters and I would sometimes fight about which channel to watch. Fortunately, we usually enjoyed the same shows.

I've noticed that modern families often boast multiple television sets, sometimes numbering two, three, or more. Perhaps it stops people from arguing over which channel to choose from. It's a stark contrast to the days when my siblings and I had to compromise on our viewing choices, and it reflects the ever-expanding landscape of television entertainment in our rapidly changing world.
