Don't avoid situations when you can ask local people the way. It's a good opportunity to practise your English. But don't forget to be polite. You can start your question with the following phrases: "Excuse me, could you tell me..." or "How do you get to... from here?" Try to take many photos and to write down your emotions about the city tour. Be careful and use crossing zebras to cross big streets with heavy traffic. If you get lost, feel free to ask a police officer to help you or try to find an information desk.
And what if you meet some tourists in your native town and they need some help? Be polite and friendly, give them only correct information and try to help them.
