Cat hair solves a manslaughter case
Cat hair can be found on every surface and never lets go. And in one case in the UK, cat hair even led to someone being responsible [of|about|for|in] manslaughter.
When a man's body was [invented|discovered|opened|created] on Southsea beach in Hampshire in July 2012, a few stray hairs from the convicted killer's cat were found at the scene. As it turned out, the DNA [evidence|testimony|verification|proof ] from the hairs of the cat, named Tinker, played an important role in the investigation, as reported by the BBC. It looks like Tinker's help in this case even set a precedent for the future. "This is the first time cat DNA has been used in a criminal case in the UK. We now hope [publishing|to publish|publish|been published] the database so it can be used in future criminal investigations," said Dr Jon Wetton, a geneticist at the University of Leicester.
