Summer holidays are the best time to travel to the sea [ ]. But if you want to stay safe, follow these simple rules when you are in the water. The first and most important requirement is to be able to swim! Be sure to ask your parents or other adults [ ]. In case you still can't do it, wear a special swim vest or other swimming equipment (water wings, rubber ring, etc). Make sure that there are no sharp stones or coral reefs at the bottom. You can ask local people [ ] that are found in those places where you are going to swim. Try to look under your feet and not to step on marine life. When you see jellyfish, do not be afraid and do not call for help. Small jellyfish, as a rule, are not dangerous and their burns can rarely hurt you. However, never touch your eyes or mouth [ ]. Still, avoid big jellyfish or the ones with the purple spots or long tentacles. Try to define if the place [ ] is deep or not. Do not dive into the water if you don't know how to do it right. There is a possibility to hit the bottom if the place is not too deep.
