- To die of curiosity — feel curious about something.
- To manage — to control.
- Irritated — angry because of someone's behaviour or words.
Have you ever felt angry, sad or worried? Do you know what it's like to be shocked or surprised? Have you ever been dying of curiosity?
If you answered "yes" to at least one of these questions, you might know how difficult it is to manage your emotions.
There are several techniques that can help you take over control of your feelings.
First of all, take a deep breath and try to identify and name your emotion. Are you angry, irritated or annoyed? Do you feel shocked or worried? You'll never be able to cope with your emotions until you name them.
Secondly, start looking for a reason for your emotions. Are you worried about the test results? Do you feel annoyed with your mum, telling you to clean up? As soon as you find the reason, you can choose what to do next. Can you change the situation to make it better? If yes, go ahead. If nothing depends on you, all you can do is just to change your attitude to it. Instead of worrying about test results, focus on some positive moments. Remember the exercises you did well and hope for a good result. Stop worrying about the things you can't change and replace negative thoughts with positive ones. It will bring its results.
