Today there are various languages on our planet. Many people speak two or three languages, and some of them even know such dead languages as Latin. Currently, English is the most popular language in the world. Why?

It is the language of international business. Headquarters of large companies are concentrated mainly in the financial centres of the UK and the USA. And businessmen who speak English don't want to learn other languages.

Moreover, most of the films are shot in English. Hollywood is a powerful global entertainment centre. And the main language of filmmaking is English.

This is how English has become the world language, which is now taught from elementary grades. Many parents start learning English with their children of preschool age.
