Carl Lewis, a famous athlete, was born on July 1, 1961, in Birmingham, Alabama. He first showed his talent in high school when he broke the long jump record. In 1984, he achieved great success in his first Olympic games, bringing home 4 gold medals. Later, participating in the Summer Olympics of 1988, 1992 and 1996, he won 5 more gold medals and a silver one. He was also named the “athlete of the year” 3 years in a row by Track and Field magazine, and the “sportsman of the century” by the International Olympic Committee.

Born October 14, 1952, in Vladimir, Nikolai Adrianov first signed up for his gymnastic classes at the age of 11. He had a hard time balancing his gymnastics training and all the homework his teachers gave him, he almost gave up. However, his coach encouraged and supported him to keep trying. From 1971 to 1980, he achieved great success in international gymnastics competitions, including the World Championships. He also participated in the Olympic Games in 1972, 1976, and 1980, where he won a total of 15 medals.

Michael Gross was known as the best swimmer in the years from 1981 to 1988. He was born on June 17, 1964 in Frankfurt. People called him "The Albatross" because his arms were very long. When he was 19 years old, Gross broke his first world record, then he set four more world records in four different events over the next three years. He also won two world titles and four European titles. He competed in the Summer Olympics of 1984 and 1988 in which he won six medals.
