What do people often eat borsh with?
Borscht is a Ukrainian dish which has become so popular in Russia that many Russians consider it one of their national dishes too. It is a delicious soup that Russian people eat cold or hot depending on the season. Borscht contains meat, tomato juice, beetroot and vegetables, such as carrots, cabbage, potatoes, parsnips, celery, onions and garlic. It usually has either beef or sausage but people can also make borscht using vegetables only. People often eat it with bread and sour cream called smetana.
