Read the text about recycling in Russia and decide if the statements are True or False.
Hello, my name is Sveta. I'm 13 years old. I live in Russia. And I think that recycling is the best way to have a positive impact on the place where we live. In my country, there are different ways to recycle waste.
Firstly, there are two types of waste bins in Russia: a bin for waste that can be recycled and a bin for other waste. In some areas, there are four waste bins for different types of recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, glass, and unsorted waste. These bins are usually colour-coded to make it easier for people to identify where each type of waste belongs. My family and I sort our waste accordingly and put it in the appropriate bins.
Secondly, many cities in Russia have recycling centres where people can drop off their recyclable waste. These centres have designated areas for different types of materials.
In some regions, there are also programmes for collecting electronic waste separately. This ensures that old electronic devices are properly recycled and do not end up in landfills.
Moreover, some supermarkets have collection points for plastic bags and packaging materials. We can bring these items back to the shop, and they will be recycled or reused.
At my school, the teachers often organise educational activities that I like to participate in. They teach us about the importance of recycling and how we can contribute to a cleaner environment. I think it is very important for our world, and I do my best to help the environment.
