The next day, I took her to the local animal shelter and asked them if they knew if anyone was looking for a black cat. But no one was looking for a cat. The volunteers at the local animal shelter also said that if I left her there, they would probably put her down because of her leg. I could not do that to such a sweet little cat, so I decided to check out her leg. It turned out that the bones in her leg were innately deformed. I was so relieved that she did not need surgery and that she wasn't in pain. Finally, I decided that she would live with me from now on. Shadow is the princess of the house now. I spoil her with treats and affection. She does well in the house. She can do everything other cats can do, just not jump as high. I feel like she chose me the day when she was under the truck.
