The last night of October is the creepiest night of the year. Ghosts, spirits and zombies come out and have fun in the middle of the night. Beware! Halloween (earlier — All Hallows Eve) is a popular festival in the UK, the USA and European countries. People carve jack-o'-lanterns out of pumpkins, decorate their houses with paper spiders and cobwebs, prepare costumes and sweets.

On October 31, children dress up as ghosts, witches and skeletons and have noisy parties.

Children dress up and go from house to house, saying “Trick or treat!”. The person should give them something sweet, like cookies of chocolate.
