1.In Russia, people love celebrating their birthdays. They usually have birthday parties at the weekend after the birthday and invite as many people as possible.
2. At birthday parties they eat salads and snacks or order pizza, sushi, or burgers. They usually drink juice, coke, or tea. It's very important to have a big cake with tea at the end of the party. They often decorate the cake with candles, and the number of candles is the same as the birthday person's age.
3.They don't usually decorate their houses much, but they can put some lights, paper garlands, or flowers around their homes. What is more, they put presents in beautiful boxes or paper bags. Some people prefer having birthday parties outside the house, in restaurants or in the countryside. Sometimes, people choose more active ways of spending their time — they go to quests, theme parks, or other interesting places.
4.There are some traditional birthday activities in Russia: the birthday person blows out the candles on the cake and makes a wish while someone pulls their ears up and says "Grow up, don't be noodles!". During the party, people sing a popular "Happy Birthday" song in Russian. People also play board games like Monopoly, Alias, Imaginariumand outdoor games like badminton or tennis.
