It was awesome! The countdown to midnight felt like a big, happy countdown with everyone cheering. We all wore silly hats and blew party horns; it was such a festive vibe! The fireworks display in the city centre was breathtaking, lighting up the sky. It was a joyous celebration, marking the start of a fresh year.

On this day, I like to do something special for my mum. I usually start by making her breakfast in bed, which she always loves. Then, we spend the day together doing something she enjoys. We can go for a walk or watch a film. I also give her a gift like a bouquet or a piece of jewellery. In the evening, we have dinner together and I make her favourite meal. It's a small way to show my appreciation for everything she does for me throughout the year.
