Hi Jessie! In your last letter, you asked me for advice, so here I am, ready to tell you about a book that has really impacted me recently.
It's a novel by an American writer John Green, and it's called "The Fault in Our Stars". What do you think can a book with such a name be about?
The story is about a teenage girl named Hazel who suffers from severe cancer. She visits weekly support group meetings where she meets Augustus. Augustus has lost his leg because of cancer. It's a fantastic though sad teenage love story that is both touching and inspiring. Hazel's warm relationship with her parents should be noted as well.
The plot isn't too intriguing, but the characters are really deep and well-written. However, there're some unpredictable plot twists and a really surprising ending.
All in all, I totally loved the book. I strongly believe that it's not only a good way to spend a couple of evenings, but also a great source of inspiration for living your life brightly. I think it teaches the reader to appreciate what you have and not to lose precious moments of your youth on complaining or feeling sorry for yourself. You should certainly read it!
