Natural disasters can be caused by various reasons. Disasters that occur because of extreme weather conditions or their sudden change are called meteorological.  Those caused by natural deformation and movement of the earth's surface  (often by seismic activity) are called geological disasters. Hydrological disasters are caused by the sudden change of water movement or its quality.
