Read the dialogues. Where do they take place?

Mary: Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to the Barnes bookshop? It’s somewhere in this district.

Passer-by: Sure. It’s not far from here, on Kenneth Street. Let me see… now we’re on Lilly Street. Walk straight ahead until you get to Martin Street. Then… turn left and walk pass the florist’s. The shop is on your right. You can’t miss it.

Mary: Is it on the opposite side of the road?

Passer-by: Right.

Mary: Thanks a lot.

Passer-by: You are welcome.

Ann: What about going to the cinema today?

Bill: Good idea! There is a new cinema by the way, opposite the baker’s on Barnard Street. Next to the supermarket.

Ann: Really? It’s not far from here.

Bill: Let’s go there after the classes.

Ann: Agreed!

Bill: There’s a new comedy on.

Ann: And now we have to hurry. Can you hear the bell?

Bill: Right, we can’t be late for Maths. Let’s go.

Sam: It’s your turn to do the shopping, Pam.

Pam: But why me? I clean the room, hoover the carpet and water the flowers. Mum says I do a lot about the house.

Sam: And I take out the rubbish.

Pam: And that’s it. You do nothing else. And I know why you don’t want to go shopping. There’s a football match on. You want to see it.

Sam: You are right, Pam. Sorry. Where’s the shopping list?
