Pete: Hey, Sam. I need to write an essay about the role of social media in my life.
Sam: So, what's the problem?
Pete: Well, I don't know what to start with.

Pete: Great idea! Let's look it up on the Net. So… Social media… is… Aha, here it is... It is a form of electronic communication (such as websites for social networking and microblogging) through which users create online communities to share information, ideas, personal messages and other content. Interesting... but what's next?
Sam: Well, if I were you, I would write how often I use this form of communication and state what I use it for.
Pete: Hmm… Well, actually, I use social networks every day. I get in touch and chat with friends or relatives. We share important news and information about studying. We discuss and share links to films, music, games, programmes, applications and other entertaining stuff.
Sam: Good points! Maybe you should also add if there are any negative sides that social media can have.
Pete: Hmm… Let me think… Sometimes it is a waste of time. I spend a lot of time on virtual interaction instead of face-to-face communication. I sit at home instead of meeting friends or going for a walk. What else? Oh, I download and store the information that's not really necessary.
Sam: Yeah, that's true. Well, I think now you've got enough points to write a good essay.
Pete: Yes, thanks a lot for your help!
