Buenos Aires is the capital of Argentina and one of the most beautiful cities in South America. The population is 15.5 million people. The name of the city means "fair winds", or from Spanish "good air". Buenos Aires is famous for its cultural attractions and is also the main point for travel throughout the country.

Buenos Aires is a city of contrasts. You can see a lot of skyscrapers, fashionable districts and small houses for the poor. The city is rich in green parks, boulevards, historical and architectural monuments.

The architecture of Buenos Aires is the history of its local people. Many of them are descendants of immigrants from different cultures. The old part of the capital is similar to Barcelona, Paris, and Madrid. The new districts of the city have a lot of banks, offices of large companies and business centres.

The capital has a lot of amazing places to visit. For example, the most picturesque green area is Rose Park, which is located in the urban area of Palermo. Many tourists and city residents visit this place regularly.

As for the transport, you can go by car, bus or by taxi. It doesn't cost a lot. But the metro is the fastest type of transport there. A lot of people use it every day.

If you want to try local food, you can visit some popular cafes and restaurants. The food is so delicious. You can try tacos, burritos, empanadas, and other tasty dishes at Che Taco or La America — the place with a wide selection of empanadas.

The local people in the capital city are very open, friendly, active and ready to help. Their native language is Spanish. They can also speak basic English, but not everyone knows it. You can hear good English in hotels or in cafes in the city centre.
