Day of the Dead is very popular in countries of South America. What is this festival like?

People come together to pray for their dead fa[ ] members and ask them to return to Earth for one night. This festival may seem strange and scary, but in fact it's a colourful and happy ce[ ].

People decorate their houses with flowers, candles, candy skulls, and lots of different food. They dress up like skeletons and have street parades in cities and villages.
