My Hometown
My name’s Ann, I am fifteen years old and I’m from Volsk, Russia. Volsk is a very
small town. It is a quiet place.  7 _______ many places where young people can meet. When the weather is good
we meet in the park or in the square in front of the town hall, and 8 _______ winter we meet at each
other’s houses or in the cafés along the main street. I know almost everybody
in town, which is cool, - I like the fact that I can

good films. If we want to see a good film, we have to go to Saratov, about 25 kilometres from here. Volsk has got a tennis club, a
football ground and a swimming pool. That’s all. I think living in a small town
is a bit boring. Living in a big city is probably more fun. There are lots of
sporting facilities, great shops, lots
of things to do. Of course there are disadvantages, for example, people 10 _______very friendly, there
are dangerous neighbourhoods, people are always in a hurry. Maybe the solution is
somewhere in the middle like living in a big town or a small city.
