Angry birds

When Tom was a boy his grandparents had 1 (goose) on their farm. Tom was really afraid of 2 (they). He never rode his bike near the birds and 3 (not can) walk there either, because they always ran after him and tried to bite him on his legs. There was a pond not far from the farm, and Tom had to cross the farmyard to get there when he 4 (go) fishing. Every time he went there he took a rod to scare the angry birds off.

One day when Tom was on his way to the pond he 5 (sudden) saw five 6 (danger) birds running towards him. He was deep in his 7 (think) and when he noticed them, it was too late. They stretched their long necks and started to bite him with their beaks. He had no time to take out his rod. And he didn’t need it at all. His grandfather had bought him new rubber boots and Tom put them on for the first time in the morning. The birds understood that he was not tasty and slowly walked away themselves. They never paid any 8 (attentive) to Tom again and he was free to walk where he wanted.
