I saw the for the Save New Zealand Penguins on the Internet. They needed volunteers for their centre and were looking for boys or girls aged 16 and over. I was very interested in environmental and I was a member of the school environment club, so I decided to take a try. I downloaded and filled in their form and sent it together with my letter of application where I explained why I would be a suitable volunteer. I was really excited when I got a positive reply. So, when I provided all the necessary documents I went to New Zealand. I cleaned and patroled the territories by different kinds of penguins, helped and looked after injured birds, provided tourist information and posted the information on the Internet. I also got a lot of new friends and met many interesting people. It was an unforgettable experience.
