Prominent People of the USA

As you know, the United States is famous for its outstanding personalities. As a rule, the great people of America are famous not only in their country but all over the world. That is why we know such names as Michael Jackson, Madonna, Steven Spielberg, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Robert Kiyosaki, Warren Buffet, etc.

As always, the list of famous people in America cannot be imagined without presidents and other political figures. In particular, such personalities as Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln are known throughout the world as the founders of the US state. It was they who made a huge contribution to the development of the Constitution of America. It is also worth adding here such a person as Theodore Roosevelt who was not only the 26th President of the United States but also a writer, traveller and Nobel Peace Prize laureate. John F. Kennedy was the 35th president who advocated friendship between the United States and the USSR, supported the rights of African Americans and actively promoted the development of space programs in the country.

In addition to politicians, writers were popular in America. The most famous of these is Mark Twain. It is believed that he was a truly American writer. He not only wrote masterpieces but was also a very talented orator who kept in touch with many prominent people of that time. Besides him, there were other famous writers. These are Ernest Hemingway, Upton Sinclair, Theodore Dreiser, Rex Stout. All of them greatly influenced the culture of the country as well as the general educational system.

Entrepreneurs also influenced the development of the country. One of them is John Rockefeller. Rockefeller managed to shape his fortune by revolutionising the oil industry: he standardised the quality of oil and founded the Standard Oil Company. He became the world's first dollar billionaire and to this day remains one of the richest people in the world.

Henry Ford is another prominent businessman. Today, Ford Motor is one of the world's largest automakers and ranks 6th in terms of sales in the world. Henry Ford was both an engineer and an entrepreneur. He personally designed his first model of the car, known throughout the world as the Model-T, and he himself founded the Ford Model Company to manufacture them. But the most significant contribution was quite different: Ford sought to reduce costs by launching mass production of its cars. As production grew, he lowered the prices of cars and raised wages to minimize staff turnover. As a result, in just ten years, the Ford Model Company was able to increase the number of cars produced from 18,000 to 1,000,000, making it one of the fast-growing companies.
