Famous People Who don't Have the University Degree
Without formal college qualifications, a few incredibly affluent leaders such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Richard Branson have made it to where they are today, whether by intrinsic drive and aptitude or sheer chance. In fact, roughly a third of the world's billionaires lack a bachelor's degree.
In many respects, Steve Jobs, the Apple CEO was a renegade, and this included learning. He was interested in computers from an early age and enrolled at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, but left out after only one term. In India, he pursued Eastern spiritualism before returning to the United States and persuading his partner Steve Wozniak to join him in starting a business.
Kim Kardashian and her family epitomise millennial celebrity, having flaunted their opulent lifestyle in front of cameras and successfully established a multibillion-dollar company around their names. Kourtney Kardashian and Rob Kardashian are the only members of the Kardashian and Jenner families who have completed college. When the reality program began, Kim was attending Pierce College in Los Angeles and working at the family's Dash business, but she quickly left both behind. Kim, who is now practically associated with selfies, has stated that when she is older, she would like to continue her studies and maybe pursue a legal degree.
Paul Allen, who is called Bill Gates' right-hand guy, has been friends since high school. Later, they created their data monitoring program together. While they split up when Gates went to Harvard and Allen moved to Washington State, they reconnected just two years later, dropping out to help build Microsoft into what it is today. Paul Allen is still earning millions of dollars without a university degree. Sometimes friends' support isn't worth the money.
With his vehicle company's breakthrough, the assembly line, Ford transformed manufacturing and transportation. But he did it without a flashy engineering or business background: at the age of 16, he left his family's property and went to work as an apprentice at a machine shop in Detroit. In 1896, he built his first automobile.
