Task 1. You are going to read the text aloud. You have 1.5 minutes to read the text silently, and then be ready to read it aloud. Remember that you will not have more than 2 minutes for reading aloud.

One of the criteria for planning sales is the change of seasons. There are products that sell very well in the heat, such as sunscreens and beach accessories, and there are those that only sell in winter, such as ski equipment. Sales companies always take these factors into account. After all, they need to calculate the receipt of profit from sales, the cost of storing goods in a warehouse, and so on. At the same time, if the season is not going well, companies need to additionally organize promotions and sweepstakes, make discounts, and so on in order to sell seasonal goods. This helps companies to get rid of surplus goods and start the new year without debt.
