Hi! My name is Ruslan. I live in Moscow. Many birds live here, too. They are sparrows, bullfinches, nuthatches.

It is very cold in winter in Moscow and the birds are hungry. We can help the birds. We can put bird tables in the parks.

We go to Sokolniki Park every Sunday and feed the birds.

It has got a short tail. It has got a black stripe near the eyes. It can sing loud, simple songs. These birds don’t migrate to warm countries. They eat insects, nuts and seeds.

It is a small brown bird. It lives very close to people in towns and cities. These birds live in big groups. They are not water birds, but they like to wash themselves in puddles.
