People were asked if they believe that aliens exist. Read their interviews and answer the questions below.

Tom: I think it's impossible that there are no aliens. The universe is so large that it's practically inevitable that we are not alone. I have never experienced them, nor do I believe they visit Earth, but they definitely exist. Look up at the starry sky! Thousands of them are just distant suns with possible planets orbiting around them. Our sun would look like a star on a distant planet. Maybe those "aliens" also look up into their skies and wonder if they are alone.

Eric: I don't think there are actually outer-space aliens. We are alone here. Humans are the only life forms in the universe. And if we don't take better care of our planet, we will also disappear. We have no other planet to travel to and create a new world. If there were actually real aliens, they wouldn't have been hiding for so long. There are none. That's my opinion and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.

Emily: My honest opinion is that there are no aliens and we should just stop talking about them. It would be much better for us to focus on developing our own space-based technology and start exploring space. According to recent news reports, space holds an unlimited amount of wealth. We should focus on tapping into this enormous wealth that remains untouched on lots of planets and asteroids around us.

Peter: I am confused and shocked when someone doesn't believe in extraterrestrial life. We, humans, base everything on experience and logic in modern culture because of science and the Renaissance. This is why we are misinformed about so many things. Aliens only exist based on some sense of reality. That's where logic does matter because life forms have the potential to live in any environment hospitable for life. It's impossible that there is not a single hint of life among billions of billions of star systems.
