Once upon a time, I was invited to visit an interesting tourist destination in the depths of the country. It was a haunted old Victorian mansion. The house was huge, with three floors. It made an unforgettable impression of a living house though it was isolated for many years.
This enormous extravagant house was built with the finest building materials such as marble and stone. The rooms were empty, but they were said to be previously furnished with sophisticated taste. A library, a dining room and a hall were downstairs on the first floor. The garage was attached to the house from the left side. The second floor had five bedrooms and two bathrooms.
But the third-floor rooms were the most interesting ones. There was an owner's bedroom where he was murdered many years ago. People say that that man sometimes appeared in the house as a ghost. It was the room with creaking floors and constant clock ticking, as the guide said. I didn't hear anything while I was there, so perhaps it was just a story to impress the visitors and attract more tourists.
