Script
Lucy: Hey Kate! What are you doing today? How about going shopping with me?
Kate: Going shopping? That'll be a great idea! I need to buy a pair of new leather boots for school.
Lucy: New boots? But you've appeared in new velvet boots a month ago! Were those that bad?
Kate: I love buying footwear! I have about twelve pairs of shoes, three pairs of boots and five pairs of slippers. My favourite slippers are made of silk, I bought them in China last year. So, when are we going to the mall?
Lucy: Wow! But that is so harmful to the environment! You are so ecologically unfriendly, Kate!
Kate: Lucy, I'm not speaking about your disadvantages now, am I? You've asked me to keep you company while shopping. It's my own business how many things I have at home. But I can advise you really smart clothes.
Lucy: I'm sorry, Kate, didn't want to hurt you. Yesterday I read an interview with that popular blogger, he's an eco-activist. And these are his words. If you wear synthetic clothes, you help to produce plenty of microplastic particles that poison our planet. The situation with boots is even worse; they are non-degradable, even the real leather.
Kate: Oh, I see, that's a shame. But we need clothes, let's go and buy some shoes and dresses. I want a polka-dot one, it looks stylish! You've got excellent company, Lucy! Come on.
Lucy: OK, and I need a brand-new pair of modern trousers. I'd love to have striped ones. Then, two casual shirts and one patterned. Oh yeah, I need comfortable sporty shoes! Mine are already worn out and look weird.
Kate: And I'd love to get a pair of leather boots, then three trendy blouses. I hate those ridiculous old-fashioned ones we wear to school every day! When I'm out of school, I have the rest of them and wear only colourful and stylish things. And I want to buy those awesome tight-fitting jeans I saw on TV a week ago. I saw them in the mall, and they are mine!
Lucy: Kate, you may calm down: I like only comfortable clothes, so I'm not buying similar jeans.
Kate: Great! Let's go then!
